The Hammond Bay Trading Post has reopened on US 23 N, about 20 miles north of Rogers City, MI. That may not be big news to you, but the locals and Huron Beach vacationers are thrilled.

Gas and groceries aren’t easy to come by in the area. Run out of ketchup and you’d have to drive 20 miles to pick up a bottle. Even worse, you could run out of gas.

Area residents can relax a bit now that the Trading Post has reopened. New owners Tom, Tina, and Kaitlyn have spruced the place up, restocked, and even added some new features. When you’re in the mood for a snack, you can stop by for some nachos, hot dogs, or even Grandma’s chili. Then enjoy your hand-scooped Ashby’s ice cream out on the back deck that overlooks the beautiful Ocqueoc River.

Of course, that’s not all that’s new for the Trading Post. Palmerworks is also designing a brand new mobile-friendly site. Be sure to check it out when we’re finished.
